Its location and staff are helpfull
staff not speaking English.
The location is very convenient. Just a few hundred meters from Yeoksam Station exit 3, it didn't even take 5 minutes for us to reach the hotel from the exit! There are 24 hours restaurant nearby, also a 7/11. Since it is located in the heart of business, there are many coffeshops and places to hang out during the day.
They didn't give us enough towel. The room was a double room (2 twins), but they only gave us 1 large towel, and a lot of small towels. It is a bit uncomfortable when we need to dry up quickly.
Location is excellent - about a 10 second walk from the Yeoksam subway station, and about a 5 minute from the Gangnam shopping and entertainment area. There are loads of cafes (including a 24 hour restaurant) less than a minute from the hotel. I particularly liked "Joe's Sandwich Cafe" which is just down the street. I would stay here again.
Wifi was fairly unusable. It appears there is some sort of timer which kicks you offline after 5 minutes. The pc in the room had a broken cable so that did not work either. This place definitely doubles as a love hotel, but be aware Korean love hotels are nothing like Japanese love hotels. I would describe Korean love hotels as business hotels without the restaurant, and a slight boutique atmosphere. They are absolutely fine and nothing to worry about.
The size of room is comfortable and easy connection with airport bus and also city metro.
Can't find a way to turn off all the lights in the room... Quite disturbing for people refer dark while sleeping...
Not recommende. Noone knows english. Roms do not have window. Not worth for the teriff charged. Hotel is work on 30 to 2=35 USD aginst which charges are 100 USD.
- The subway station (Yeoksam) is just 40 meters on the north. It is very comfortable for urban transport. - Limousine bus from/to Incheon airport (line no. 6020) is directly located at the subway station. It is very very convenient. I love this hotel on this aspect.
- The hotel employs gamer as receptionist. When I first entered into the hotel at his front desk, he was busy playing games on his notebook computer. He asked us to come later for the check-in after 12am. Then we came again on his request, he quickly arranged keys for us with one hand playing games. He did not try to help and solve any problem. He paid attention on his games. We were hopeless with this gamer receptionist. Therefore, we tried to solve our own problems. - The gamer receptionist still enjoy playing games in the next days. I did not understand how the hotel relies on him. Or is he the big boss of the hotel ? This hotel should deserve 8-9 scores from us without this gamer receptionist.
No breakfast, no microwave oven in room, computer not working, no washing machine
Good location, right next to Yeoksam metro station in Gangnam, room was nice, had a spare bed in it for some reason! All the mod cons you'd expect from a htel room in Korea
Near to subway.
When I arrived before my check in time I was told that they have to transfer us to another hotel due to power faulty in the room. But later they managed to give us a room coz they can find another hotel for us for that night. Upon checking into that room, complimentary shower gel, shampoo & conditioner was not properly label and the worst its a refile type. Complimentary hair cream and skin care is the refill type with no cover. WC do not function properly, either once you flash the water keeps running or it over flow. Room lighting is too dim.
The hotel's location is exceptional in the Gangnam area. Easy to get around, fairly quiet and many activities in the area.
The hotel is a modified "love motel". It's not uncommon to see people on the elevator attempting to hide their face. The staff is hit or miss with friendliness and professionalism. You can't leave the room without them pulling the power and leaving your room without electricity--- this is problematic for when you have food/beverages in the refrigerator. However, the temperature does cool down quickly once the ac is on. The computer in the room was in bad condition and there was no i-net connectivity. Luckily, the wifi worked for small items (cell phones/tablets). Finally, directions were incomplete. The best way to get there is to exit #3 of Yoeksam station---the turn left and you'll see the Hotel Star straight down the walkway. If you take the bus---it lets you off between subway exits #8 and #4...4 is the better choice to use.
The room was large and very clean.
The hotel is difficult to find and around 45 minutes by metro from the main tourist areas of the city. If I went to Seoul again as a tourist I would stay somewhere much closer to down town Seoul.
There was always someone watching the front desk with security cameras. It felt quite secure. Also the drop off and pick up of the airport limousine bus is really close. But be careful the drop off and pick up are on opposite sides of the street even if the sign says both. Very close to Yeoksam Subway Station, Line 2. There are many traditional Korean restaurants very close. Free Wifi, large tv screen, romantic lights for couples, refrigerator, computer, remote controls all lights of room. Large furo for two people.
The hotel is unique and does look like a "love hotel," but I did see tour groups check in, and families check in also. So it may double as both kinds of hotels. The services are very limited, so you will have to ask for everything at the front desk. The two young gentlemen spoke some English, the older Korean lady did not speak any English. The room has too good floor heating, so I had to open the window and turn on the air cleaner to cool down the room sometimes. The large furo did not have any shower curtain, so when you took a shower, you had to be careful not to wet everything. The lock on the door seems very simple and not that secure.
First of all the staff were extremely kind and helpful. I loved it. I have got really great service from them even burgers order from other restaurants from outside they made it for us. Also the rooms were fantastic all the rooms we have booked have had computer with internet, free wifi, all the cosmetic products and really wide screen free of charge HD channel tv. The location is really great as well its only few foot walks away from the yeoksam metro station. Thanks for that experience i enjoyed that and i definetely recommend to the people.
Location. Airport bus practically at door step, subway the same. Lots of food outlets nearby and Gangnam and COEX mall nearby.
Far from most attractions on the north side. Hotel stuffs not helpful at all and no facilities whatsoever. Couldn't use the Internet in the room as it was in Korean as no one can help to guide us to change to English. Sp have to go to lobby for the wifi.
Location is wonderful. The staff is helpful. The room is big, clean and confortable. It is greatly reconmended!!!
However, I have to say, the cleanning staff is not professional. Coz I don't think you can take my shampoo out of my plastic bag and throw my plastic bags away without asking me. And the last day, I have packed up my loggage and I put my charge on it in order to remind me of not losing it. However, the cleanning staff move it away without asking me, which made me nearly forget to bring my charge, so I was a little angry with it!
